NO TENTING DRYWOOD TREATMENTS

Dry-wood termites can be difficult to locate and control. By the time you see any evidence (pellets) the termites have probably been there for years. The most obvious signs are pellets, swarmers, or soft wood. Dry-wood termites can infest a structure through outside exposed wood, or can be built into the structure during construction or remodeling. Dry-wood termites live directly in the wood, unlike subterranean termites that come from the soil initially.

Tenting and fumigation has been the traditional treatment method and using a flashlight the traditional inspection method. There are many drawback to this type of inspection and treatment. People pets and plants must be evacuated, as well as protection of food and other precautions must be made. This type of treatment relies on gas thoroughly penetrating and treating the entire gallery system. This type of treatment does not locate the infestation so you never know if they are really gone. There is also no residual left to protect against further infestation. This type of treatment is expensive, inconvenient and time consuming.

Poor Boy Termite Control has developed an entirely different approach for inspecting and treating dry-wood termites. Poor Boy has developed a very thorough inspection for drywood termites consisting of infrared thermal imaging cameras, radar detection scanners. Once the hidden infestations located then treatment begins. We have developed our own custom in-house treatment tools to apply a liquid-foam application of Premise. We precisely and accurately treat into the entire gallery system. We then monitor with thermal imaging and radar detection to make sure the treatment was successful. Included in our treatment is a subsequent follow up inspection that includes high tech detection not just a flashlight inspection. Our warranties are for the entire structure not just the treated area.
